He also talks of his love for fly fishing his local river, the Usk and tells of his many travels including the time he fell off a boat and was surrounded by feeding sharks!

He has a phd in fish behavior and tells us of how the moon setting and rising can affect fish catches, plus studies of Ferox Trout and chats about his recent trip up to Lough Sheelin.

As well as being an angling journalist for over 20 years, professional guide and rod designer with Mackenzie Fly Fishing, he is also vice president of the Wild Trout Trust and Salmon and Trout Conservation.

He has retired from his Tackle Shop Business and is now nearing his 80th birthday. He tells us stories of when he started to fish around his home in the South Wales Valleys. Today he is now President of the Welsh Salmon & Trout Association.
