This week Ceri chats with John Horsey, England’s most capped International fly-fishing angler.. I meet up with him at his local water, Chew Valley where he has been a full time guide and instructor for over 29 years. He talks of the changes in fly hatches during that time and what to expect this season. He also chats about his involvement in the competition scene as both competitor and organiser, plus the changes and future of Bristol Reservoirs.
This week Ceri chats with Paul Slaney. Paul is an extremely talented fly tyer from South Wales and held in high regard by anglers worldwide. He talks of how he got into tying, shows, and more recent his online Zoom demonstrations. He has a degree in design and his creative side comes across in his tying. He also talks of his love for fly fishing his local river, the Usk and tells of his many travels including the time he fell off a boat and was surrounded by feeding sharks!
This week Ceri chats with Fish Scientist, James Barry. Living in Waterford, Ireland it is no surprise he has a love for fishing for Bass and Salmon, and talks about the Copper Coast and both River Suir and Slaney. He has a phd in fish behavior and tells us of how the moon setting and rising can affect fish catches, plus studies of Ferox Trout and chats about his recent trip up to Lough Sheelin.
This week Ceri chats with Welsh fly fishing international and Brown Bowl winner, David Hoppe. As well as talking about his fly fishing he tells us about his passion for catching large Zander from Rutland Water, plus fishing from his kayak on the Welsh coast for Tope. This guy got balls!!!
This week Ceri chats with passionate competition angler, Sean Jones. He has many Welsh international fly fishing caps and captaincies under his belt and currently captain of Team Fasna. He is equaly at home fishing lakes and rivers but loves fishing his local waters of Penderyn and Ystradfellte for his pleasure fishing. He gives us an insight of what’s in his box and talks about barbless hooks and his goals for 2021.
This week Ceri chats with talented and inovating Irish fly tyer, Neil Darling. He is Pro Tyer and ambassador for Ahrex Hooks and Vicuna Dubbing. As well as chatting about his fly tying background and notably his creative scud patterns, he tells us about his passion for encouraging children into fishing. He also talks about his love of fishing Scotland, bling spiders and sea trout fishing in the sea.
This week Ceri chats with Welsh Sea Trout specialist Alun Rees. Alun returns to give some guidance, hints and tips for newcomers to sea trout fishing at night. He talks of the rivers of South and West Wales, tackle, methods, flies and the changing tactics throughout the season.

He talks about his passion for float tubing, especially on Loch Tay and tells us the story of one unexpected fish he caught while out on his tube, while on a feature shoot, some catch! He also chats about his flyfishing travels and his hosted bonefish trips.
This week Ceri chats with Loughstyle Welsh International Marco Orsi. He has fished at the highest level gaining 10 caps and has also been captain. He also has a passion for rivers, predominantly at his home river, The Usk, and tells us of the story of his magnificent 38lb salmon catch. He also goes on to talk about his love for Talybont, Lough Corrib, Harray and his days playing rugby for Pontypridd and his Italian Heritage.

He especially has a love for tying traditional wet flies and likes nothing more than to fish for wild brownies around his home in East Ayrshire. He comes from a flyfishing family so it comes as no surprise where he gets his passion from. He also talks about his recently launched body dubbing material, Bug Fluff, plus a few laughs along the way.
This week Ceri chats with Sue Shaw. She has represented her country at International level many times, gaining 14 England Ladies Fly fishing caps. As well as being captain she has also been International President on two occations. She also talked about her part in 'Casting for Recovery' a fly fishing charity which helped ladies recover from breast cancer. A real joy chatting with some hillarious stories, sure to put a smile on your face.
This week Ceri chats with Cumbria flyfisher, Paul Procter. Paul has a passion for wild brown trout which has taken him around the world in search of his quarry. In this episode he talks of his regular trips to New Zealand and Iceland, which includes some funny stories. As well as being an angling journalist for over 20 years, professional guide and rod designer with Mackenzie Fly Fishing, he is also vice president of the Wild Trout Trust and Salmon and Trout Conservation.
This week Ceri chats with Mark Roberts. He talks of the entomology and insects which the trout feed on in rivers. He runs through the categories, life cycles, which months hatches occur, identifly rise forms as well as how to catch with immitative patterns. Knowledge and experiences over the years from fishing his local River Usk.

He has retired from his Tackle Shop Business and is now nearing his 80th birthday. He tells us stories of when he started to fish around his home in the South Wales Valleys. Today he is now President of the Welsh Salmon & Trout Association.
