This week's episode I chat with Dennis Williams an 88 year old fly fisherman from South Wales. He took me on my first day’s boat fishing as a young boy to Chew Valley lake. He was at the forefront of nymph and buzzer fishing back in the late 70s. He has fished with many great anglers back in the day notably Arthur Cove and Arthur Oglesby. He still fishes Chew and Rutland every season. He chats about seasons and anglers past and his love for the sea trout of South America and the salmon of Alaska.

This week’s episode Ceri chats with Mark Underhill owner of Rainbow Valley Trout Farm at Tiverton where he brings on 350,000 rainbow trout for stocking lakes around the country including Anglian Water Reservoirs. Four years ago he also took over the fishing at Wimbleball reservoir which is now going from strength to strength. Plus, during lockdown he bought the George Inn at Brompton Regis only a mile from the lake perfect for anglers wanting a fishing break.

This weeks guest has represented her country at International level a dozen times and was team member in 2013 where Ireland had gold at Lough Caragh, County Kerry in 2013 where Ireland had gold at Lough Caragh, County Kerry. She talks of her local waters Lough Conn and Lough Cullen in County Mayo. She started her fishing career when she took over Healys Hotel on the shores of Lough Cullen in Pontoon back in 1989. She also goes on to tell of the time she met up with Martin McGuinness when shared his passion of Lough Mask.
